The DAB EvoSta2 40-70/180M is an advanced media-cooled circulator pump, specifically designed for heating and cooling applications in residential and commercial systems. Pump Housing and Connections
The pump housing is made from high-grade cast iron EN-GJL-250 (GG25), a material known for strength, durability, and vibration damping. The pump is equipped with 1½" (40 mm) metric male thread connections on both the inlet and discharge sides, in accordance with ISO 228-1. The external pipe diameter on both sides is 139.7 mm, with a round flange shape and PN 10 pressure class for both suction and discharge flanges.
Hydraulic Performance
The EvoSta2 40-70/180M offers a maximum flow rate of 3.6 m³/h, with a best efficiency point (BEP) of 1.94 m³/h and a BEP pressure of 31 kPa. The maximum head is 6.9 meters, making it suitable for medium-sized circulation systems. The pump supports a continuous media temperature from -10 °C to +110 °C, and can operate in ambient temperatures up to 60 °C, ensuring flexibility across a range of demanding applications.
Motor and Electrical Specifications
The pump features an integrated stepless motor speed control, ensuring silent, precise, and energy-efficient operation. The single-phase motor runs on a nominal voltage of 230 V, 50/60 Hz, with a motor speed of 2800 rpm. The absorbed power (P1) is 0.35 kW, and the nominal current is 0.32 A. The motor is rated to insulation class F according to IEC standards, and features an IPX5 protection rating, making it fully resistant to water splashes.

Intelligent Control & Communication
Although this pump does not include external communication protocols like RS-232, RS-485, Modbus, BACnet or KNX, it does feature internal communication and a pulse output interface. It does not support wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or cellular standards (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G).
No volt-free contacts or external signal interfaces such as 0–10 V, 4–20 mA or PT100/PTC are included. However, with its advanced internal control and low energy index (EEI 0.18), this pump is one of the most efficient circulators in its class.
