The heat pump makes an important contribution to the energy transition. However, the outdoor unit of the heat pump produces a certain amount of noise. Merford has developed a noise-reducing solution that can be installed quickly and easily. DICE consists of maintenance-free material and has a long lifespan, making it more than worth the investment.

DICE is a free-standing sound-insulating enclosure for heat pumps and air conditioners. The casing can be used if there is sufficient space (at least 50 cm on all sides) around the outdoor unit. The product is available in seven versions with different sizes.

Disturbing humming noises are suppressed by DICE. The casing achieves a sound insulation of 9 to 15 dB, while the air resistance remains virtually the same. DICE is easy and quick to install. Because the casing can be opened on all sides, it is possible to access the heat pump or air conditioning for maintenance without much effort. DICE owes its stable foundation to the basic frame, which also ensures good insulation between the steel and the floor. This prevents rust formation. Composition DICE is made of galvanized steel sheet. The panels and acoustic slats are filled with high-quality, sound-absorbing material that does not cause allergic reactions to the skin, eyes or lungs.
